Fall is one of the most spectacular times of year in Maryland; a time when the summer humidity finally subsides and the green, thick, foliage disperses and transitions into a colorful palette. I enjoy taking walks through the majestic woodlands during this brief period of color and balmy weather. On this occasion, I stopped to take this photo of fall leaves reflecting off the gunpowder river. A picturesque bridge next to a tree in peak color created a pleasing sight. In making the final image, I sought to highlight what I felt was the essence of the scene. Hopefully the final result achieved this goal.
