This image was taken in Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware. Because this lighthouse is in the bay, the sun sets in the background when viewed from the beach in the park. This allows for the spectacular scenes which I so often observe at this location. This particular sunset was no exception; it contained intense orange and yellow color which permeated the sky and clouds. The sun’s light reflecting off the rippled water’s surface added to the drama of the scene. Two wooden posts in the water opposite the Cape Henlopen lighthouse made for a balanced and interesting composition.
